DESIGN FOR OUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENTS: FASHIONING PERSONAL PROTECTION WITH TECHNICAL TEXTILES

Presented at Techtextil North America in May 2014, this talk highlighted various fabric technologies and garment designs that address our evolving future environments. It outlined various conditions such as unstable weather patterns, rising temperatures, increased access to space via the space tourism industry and the related innovations in technical textiles that are making their way from the industrial market to the consumer arena.
