Stealth Wear is a counter-surveillance collection designed in collaboration with artist Adam Harvey.
The garments were designed with an IR reflective metallized nylon fabric that protects against the thermal imaging surveillance widely used by UAV's/drones. The fibers that make up the fabric work by reflecting the wearer's heat and reducing the wearer's thermal signature.
As the Materials and Design consultant, I brought the products to commercialization by establishing the fabric and manufacturing supply chain and successfully launched at the New Museum in NYC. The collection has been featured in international publications from the BBC News, NY Times, The Guardian, and Discovery Channel as well as in exhibitions including the "Privacy Gift Shop" at the New Museum NYC, "Drones" at The Gallery Project in Michigan, "Control" at the Museum für Kommunikation Frankfurt, and "Faceless" at Quartier21 Vienna.
